Our Mission: To build and maintain shelters in high-risk areas that provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to women who have been exploited and to enable them to be financially independent.

Purpose: The Social Media Manager will assist with developing and maintaining comprehensive social media strategies that define how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic across all Tamar’s Shelter platforms.

Essential Functions:

  1. Help build and execute social media strategy for Tamar’s Shelter.
  2. Set up and optimize organization’s pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content.
  3. Craft regular, ongoing social media posts across Tamar’s platforms.
  4. Increase number of people engaged with Tamar’s social media platforms (followers, following)
  5. Effectively manage Tamar’s social media platforms by engaging with comments, subscriptions, etc.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience with main social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
  2. Experience with social media management platforms
  3. Background or studies in social media is a plus
  4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  5. Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills.
  6. Detail oriented, organizational skills
  7. Proofreading skills
  8. Experience with Microsoft Windows.

Tamar's Shelter is a Christian organization that believes in helping the poor and the oppressed. We are doing so currently by working in India and are in the starting phase of building this organization. We are excited about adding to our numbers those that are passionate about helping women and children and are willing to generously give of their talents.
