ORGANIZATION: Museo de las Americas

Assist in the creation of our new exhibit Luis Barragán: The Legacy! At Museo, we transform our space to better showcase our talented artists and this time that involves painting the walls. If you are a DYI kind of person and have some free time we would love to have your help and while you are here give you some exclusive insight into our new project!

Exhibit Description:
Luis Barragan influenced the aesthetics of a country through his architectural designs. By changing the landscape of the contemporary urban scene in the populous regions of Mexico City and Guadalajara, he became an artistic and cultural icon. This retrospective honors the impact that Barragan’s artistic and architectural legacy has had on many generations that experienced his public heritage, excluding that of his work which is restricted to the world. Thus, the invited artists will create a platform to access a legacy that transcends the confined reality as it is.

Food and breaks are provided as needed. Hours are flexible and you are welcome to come by for as long as you want.
