Our Mission: To build and maintain shelters in high-risk areas that provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to women who have been exploited and enable them to be financially independent.

Position: Virtual Administrative Assistant

Schedule: 5-15 Hours Per Week as Needed (work from home and schedule flexible)

Purpose: The Administrative Assistant will provide general administrative support to Tamar’s Shelter.

Essential Functions:

  1. Prepare for Board of Directors meetings by printing agendas and other documents.
  2. Assist with planning of Annual Board of Directors Retreat.
  3. Maintain organizational files and documents digitally.
  4. Manage donor database.
  5. Help prepare for meetings.
  6. Use various software including word processing, spreadsheets, databases and presentation software.


  1. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  2. Attention to detail
  3. Strong organizational skills
  4. Experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel

Tamar's Shelter is a Christian organization that believes in helping the poor and the oppressed. We are doing so currently by working in India and are in the starting phase of building this organization. We are excited about adding to our numbers those that are passionate about helping women and children and are willing to generously give of their talents.
