Caring Hospice services a large number of patients and their families each day. We offer support to terminally ill people, caregivers and bereaved along their journey. COVID-19 increased the isolation and loneliness that our clients are facing, and we have come up with creative ways that members of the community can show love and support through meaningful arts, crafts, sewing projects, and cards/letters/drawings.
Volunteers can work on these items at home and at your own pace, delivering finished projects to our business office at your convenience. We can provide you education about hospice, if interested. Some of the projects we suggest are:
- Memory Tins
- Busy Boxes
- Prayer beads
- Jewelry Art
- Memory bears, Pillows, Fidget Blankets, and Shawls
What ideas do you have and can share? Now is an important time in our world to be of service. We would love to work with you as you help us help our patients and families through an extraordinarily difficult time.

Mission Statement
Caring Hospice Services is a unique, holistic and cost-effective service designed to meet the social, emotional, spiritual, and physical needs of patients and families as they face terminal illness. Our mission is to coordinate patient and family services while respecting their choices, values, and beliefs. We are also committed to educating the community regarding hospice philosophy and multi-disciplinary standards of care.
Description
Many times caregivers and patients can experience feelings of isolation; either because they are so consumed with caring for their loved one, or because friends and family may find it difficult to be around someone facing a terminal illness. Trained Hospice volunteers can offer emotional support to both the caregiver and the patient throughout this difficult time.
Our program includes volunteers in both a patient care and in an administrative setting.
No previous experience is necessary. We provide all the training you need and we will work around YOUR schedule.
