Learn to prepare taxes and make a difference in your community at the same time. How can you make a difference? Simple. Volunteer to help your community by preparing taxes free of charge with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) or Tax Counseling for the Elderly (TCE) Programs.
You will receive training to provide free tax help for low-to-moderate income families who need assistance preparing their tax returns. As a volunteer, you will join the thousands of others who each year prepare millions of tax returns at thousands of tax sites nationwide.
How does this program work? As a committed tax volunteer you’ll be assigned to work with a sponsoring organization, first to receive training and then to begin volunteering at a location in your community. Training is offered both online and in the classroom. Tax sites are generally open nights and weekends and the hours are flexible. You will surely find a volunteer site close to you.

Mission Statement
TGPI’s mission is to (1) expand free tax preparation services of (2) expand educational efforts relating to prevention of tax debt including basic tax concepts to help individuals, particularly low-to-moderate income residents in rural and/or hard to reach areas of the within our county and others, avoid making financial mistakes that result in tax debt, effect of changes in tax law, and tax scams and (3) expand our " B.O.S.S. Series (Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency) " initiative which is a series of classes about taxes, credit, banking and personal finance.
Description
The Goddess Project Incorporation (TGPI) is a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization, created in 2019 for the purpose of working with underserved taxpayers. TGPI’s purpose is to serve the underserved population, this target group often has no knowledge of how to build financial assets and suffer with understanding of what it takes to become financially stable and achieve long- term financial independence.
