CVJP is a non-profit public interest entity that helps past and current members of the US military seek alternative sentencing and diversion, as well as get the services they need. CVJP internships are meant to provide students an opportunity to extend their education beyond the classroom and gain valuable experience in professional environments. The primary purpose of the volunteering is for the worker to gain practical learning and professional experience. As an applicant, you can expect: Orientation and training to learn the project, client intakes and follow ups, and tracking criminal/non-criminal cases. Interns who are interested in a broader experience may be exposed to other aspects of the project: grant writing, communications, articles, Social media managenment, marketing, PR etc.
We have hosted Masters of Social Work interns, Law Clerks, Peer volunteers, business students and more. Our project welcomes a variety of educational backgrounds and will work with you to develop an internship that meets your needs and will add to the CVJP. We offer an excellent opportunity to network and build relationships with people from across all fields. We're a small entity, so you are going to work closely with Director and staff in a positive rewarding environment that transforms lives!
We recruit for attitude and train for skill!
Please apply through https://bit.ly/3sXifuI or email to info@cvjp.org
We are willing to adjust the internship to both fit your career development needs and the needs of the Project at the particular time of application.
