Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County is seeking volunteers to help deliver and serve lunch in Manchester at the W.B. Cashin Senior Activity Center.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays
11:00AM-1:00PM

11:00 Arrive at Carpenter Center on Franklin Street to collect approximately 25 meals. Lunches will be either be pre-bagged or need to be assembled prior to delivery. Lunches will need to be packed into insulated bags to transport.

11:30 Arrive at W.B. Cashin Center- distribute meals, mark attendance sheet, collect donations and rsvps for upcoming lunches

12:30-1:00 Return to Carpenter Center to return insulated bags, attendance sheet, rsvp list, and donations

Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County fosters independence and life enrichment for seniors and other qualified adults through nutrition, social engagement, and community services.

Description

Our Story Meals on Wheels of Hillsborough County began operations in 1977; in our first year, we provided 149,338 meals and safety checks, within 10 years the need for our services more than doubled, resulting in 277,382 meals and safety checks served in 1987.

Today, Meals on Wheels works with a licensed kitchen in the heart of Manchester, NH that produces over 7,000 nutritious meals each week. Meals are then delivered to numerous dining centers throughout Hillsborough County where they are sent out as Meals on Wheels to homebound, older, and disabled adults.
