Veterans are referred to the compassionate contact corps coordinator thru their VA provider. I find friendly, caring volunteers who commit to a weekly, virtually phone call with a Veteran. This 1:1 connection with one of our nation's hero's gives you an opportunity to learn their story and support them and their caregiver. You must successfully pass a background check, receive training and become a VA Volunteer in this flexible program based on your schedule. Help combat loneliness and boredom and improve your socialization skills as you enjoy weekly phone call with your matched Veteran.
