ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross, Gold Country Region

Disaster Action Team Work

Support individuals and families right at home. While big hurricanes and wildfires get the most news coverage, smaller disasters are no less devastating to the families affected. Most of the 60,000 emergencies that the Red Cross responds to each year are smaller disasters like home fires. In this role, you can help comfort and support people in your community by meeting their immediate needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, or supplies, and connecting them to long-term recovery services. We supply all the training you need.

Hear firsthand why others have volunteered in this role: https://youtu.be/-yamNDUbsn0 . Spring into action and apply now.

Take the next step towards turning tragedy into hope .

COVID-19 Safety:
Safety first! Masks must also be worn at all shelters.

Time Expectations: Sign up for on-call shifts that work with your schedule.

Thank you for your interest in serving the American Red Cross!
