Heritage Conservancy

Do you enjoy working with students in grades K-12? Are you passionate about caring for the environment? Are you interested in spreading the word about Heritage Conservancy's mission to the community? Come join a dedicated group of volunteers here at Heritage Conservancy who enjoy educating the community and students in Lower Bucks County about the environment and how to protect it. We are looking for help to implement both in-person programs in schools and at local tabling events. No teacher or educator experience required. Where: Various Locations throughout Bucks County

When: School programs typically take place Monday-Friday from 9-3, for an hour or up to a full day. Community programs are typically 2-4 hours on weekends.

Description

Based in Doylestown, PA, and serving Bucks and Montgomery counties, Heritage Conservancy’s mission is to protect and care for the lands of our region; to engage with and share the history that unfolded on these lands; and to connect people with both.

To date, Heritage Conservancy has facilitated the preservation of over 16,000 acres of open space, farmland, wildlife habitat, and important watershed areas in Bucks and Montgomery counties. This preserved land helps to protect water quality and the quality of life for your community. The Conservancy has also had 40 successful nominations to the National Register of Historic Places for historic districts and properties.

  • Must be at least 18
  • Orientation or Training
  • Educators will be expected to attend at least one training session a year (approximately 2 hours). Each educational field trip is between 3 and 7 hours. Educators can sign up for one or more field trips per month.
