The National MS Society is hosting our Annual Bike MS: Peach Ride. Starting and finishing in LaGrange, GA. Cyclists will ride up to 100 miles each day, stopping at various rest stops along the route.

This two-day ride will take place on September 23rd & 24th. We expect over 300 cyclists for this year’s event, and we rely on our volunteers each year to unsure that events like these are a success!

REST STOP Volunteer Opportunity:

  • Volunteers will support our participants by serving drinks, food, and providing moral support as they ride up to 100 miles each day! We provide all the necessary instructions, supplies and equipment; we just need volunteer support! (Occasional lifting may be required)

Volunteers are the helping hands that make the event possible! When you join the Bike MS Volunteer Team, you become a part of Bike MS. Together we will provide support, raise money, have fun, and make a difference in the lives of people living with MS.

Mission Statement

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS, Walk MS and Challenge Walk MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
