Mission Statement

Vision We transform lives by providing mobility devices to children with disabilities. Mission We create dedicated teams that design, assemble and deliver wheelchairs and gait trainers to children is less resourced areas of the world.

Description

ROC Wheels (Reach Out & Care Wheels) is a faith-based non-profit 501(c)(3) that fits wheelchairs and gait trainers to children who need them around the world. Moving a child off the ground and into a chair is a life-changing experience. They are now able to participate more fully in the life of their community. It literally raises their status and alters their future.

ROC Wheels works with in-country partners to identify children who need wheelchairs. We send a team of volunteers for a week or more to train local physical therapists how to fit wheelchairs to children. The local partner then provides follow-up and support to the family as the child grows.

Located in Bozeman, Montana, ROC wheels provides opportunities for youth groups, veteran groups, people fulfilling court-ordered community services, and others to volunteer with ROC and enrich their lives in the process. Volunteers help with wheelchair and gait trainer design, assembly, transportation and fitting to children. Everyone who participates with ROC is changed by the experience.
