Mission Statement

It is our mission to help seniors to remain healthy while living independently in their own homes.

Description

The Ashland County Aging Unit, Inc. is a non-profit organization that assists seniors age 60 and over and their families in maintaining health, dignity, independence, and quality of life, by advocating, planning, coordinating, and delivering services and programs. There is an emphasis on meeting the needs of the socially and/or economically disadvantaged.

This allows older adults to sustain a quality of life that promotes longevity with comfort, independence, and maximum control over decisions that affect their lives. Services available include information and referral to appropriate agencies, advocacy, congregate and home-delivered meals, specialized transportation, benefit specialist services, counseling, senior home repair, and caregiver information and support. Although our programs are structured to help people 60 and older, our assistance is available to anyone, especially families, in search of help for an elderly person who is over 60 years old.
