If you are curious about being a Hospice Volunteer with Good Shepherd Hospice, come to our Tulsa office on the third Friday of the month for our Super Friday Volunteer Event. We will have most of our volunteers from throughout the greater Tulsa metro area as well as those who are curious about what we ask of our office volunteers. Lunch is provided. Please call Bob if you would like to come so we have enough food for you. 918-743-5067. Even if you want to eventually serve as a patient care volunteer (to visit patients in their homes or facilities) you can still come to the office on the third Friday of the month for food, fun, and a little bit of work. For more information, call Dr. Bob Whiddon at our Tulsa office: 918-743-5067.

Mission Statement

Serving people with compassion and dignity.

COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.

At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.

We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.

Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.

Our History - 23 Years of Comforting and Serving

Good Shepherd Hospice opened its first office in Oklahoma City in 1995. We now have a regional presence serving Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Texas. Along the way, we’ve touched the lives of more than 20,000 patients and shepherded 50, 000+ family members through their time of need. Every member of our team receives comprehensive, ongoing training. We are a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Association, Medicare Certified and State Licensed.
