ORGANIZATION: Good Shepherd Hospice Tulsa

  • 2 people are interested

LET ME BRING LUNCH TO YOUR WOMEN'S GROUP. I would like to spend ten minutes talking with your women's group about volunteering with Good Shepherd Hospice. I will answer your questions. Then I will leave you to lunch together and enjoy your day.

Good Shepherd Hospice (serving Tulsa, Bartlesville, Muskogee, Henryetta, and all points in between) is mostly looking for volunteers to sit with our Hospice patients. They need companionship. You can visit with them, read to them, play music, etc. Spend a half-hour to an hour brightening up someone's day. Volunteers must be able to pass a background check.

Please call Bob if you would to talk about this. For lunch, I will bring enough wraps and sandwich sliders to feed a group of up to 25 people. For more information, call Dr. Bob Whiddon at our Tulsa office: 918-743-5067.

Mission Statement

Description

COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.

At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.

We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.

Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.

Our History - 23 Years of Comforting and Serving
