ProRecourse Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to upholding the dignity of migrants. We provide the temporary much needed support these migrants need whilst they embark on building a better future for themselves and their families in the UK. We also highlight the effects of immigration policies on children’s well-being, and disseminate the results of our engagement to the public, donors and policy makers.

Our vision is to ensure that the existing structural barriers and bias that impact the well-being of migrants is not compounded by their inability to support themselves when faced with a change in personal circumstances.

What we are looking for

We are looking for trustees who can bring their professional skills and experience of charity management and governance to help the organisation achieve its charitable objectives. Applications are encouraged from those that are passionate about migration law, public policy and integration, or have directly or indirectly been impacted by the effects of migration policies on families. We will also love to hear from you if you are simply keen to see a just society in which everyone can be accorded equal opportunities.

Trustees should have experience in the following areas:

* Knowledge and experience of charity management, governance and fundraising

* Experience of grant making

* Analytical and evaluation skills

* Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to the foundation’s aims

* Previous experience as a non-profit board member

These are unpaid voluntary roles but trustees will be entitled to reimbursement for all out-of-pocket expenses incurred while carrying out the charity’s objectives.
