Join Our Board Of Directors And Make An Impact On The Mental Health In Your Community!

TriCity Family Services, Kane County’s leading provider of counseling and other mental health services, is currently seeking individuals to serve on our volunteer Board of Directors. We are looking for individuals who are committed to strengthening the mental health of our communities and who reflect the rich diversity of our clients.

TriCity Family Services is particularly seeking Board members with experience in philanthropy and fundraising, community mental health, health care, human resources and school administration and those who reside in the Aurora area. Previous Board experience is helpful, but not necessary. We seek diverse members with a wide range of backgrounds.

About TriCity Family Services

TriCity Family Services’ vision is to strengthen the mental health of our communities and our mission is to provide quality mental health services that are accessible and affordable.

Located in Geneva, Illinois, TriCity Family Services is Kane County’s leading provider of counseling and other mental health services to clients of all ages and all income levels. Our highly-skilled therapists provide the residents of Central and Southern Kane County and its surrounding areas with compassionate and confidential family-based counseling, emotional wellness workshops and support groups, psychiatric services, and employee assistance programs. Our Family-Based Treatment for Eating Disorders Program is the only program of its kind in the western suburbs.

Being a Board Member

Serving as a Board member provides a unique opportunity to serve your community by applying your experience and expertise to help advance an organization’s impact while learning new skills that can enhance your own career and grow your own personal and professional networks.

The Board’s primary responsibilities include supporting the agency’s mission, programs and needs, ensuring strong fiduciary oversight and financial management, fundraising and resource development, and attending monthly board meetings.

The Board typically meets at 7:00 pm on the third Monday of each month. Board members are expected to service on a committee that works separately throughout the month.

Mission Statement

TriCity Family Services' vision is strengthening the mental health of our communities, and our mission is providing quality mental health services that are accessible and affordable. We support, encourage, validate, and respect all.

Description

TriCity Family Services is a private, not-for-profit, community mental health center serving Central and Southern Kane County and its surrounding areas. Since 1967, our agency has been a trusted partner and leading provider of family-based counseling and emotional wellness programs for all ages and all income levels. Our services are designed to address a wide-range of mental health disorders that destabilize families and prevent individuals from leading productive, satisfying lives.

Integral to our mission is a commitment to making programs and services affordable to area residents in need, particularly individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or cannot otherwise afford mental health services. By operating under a sliding fee scale, and offering scholarships for our group programs, we ensure that no one is denied services based on an inability to pay.
