About the event Since the Charity Golf Tournament began in 2005, over $1 million has been raised to support important services and programs at S.U.C.C.E.S.S. for those in needs in the Metro Vancouver communities that lack sufficient government funding. This year, we hope to raise another $136,500 for the continuance and development of services and programs such as senior health care at the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Simon K.Y. Lee Seniors Care Home and the two S.U.C.C.E.S.S. senior assisted living residences: Harmony House and Austin Harris Residence; the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Youth Leadership Millennium Program; the Multicultural Early Childhood Development Program; and the S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Chinese Help Lines. We are looking for volunteers to support the 2022 S.U.C.C.E.S.S. Charity Golf Tournament. This event raises funds for important services for seniors, youth and families. 3 shifts are available: - Pre-event (Shift 1): 9:30am -1:00pm. Registration and set-up, preparing goodie bags (~12 volunteers needed) - Golf Tournament (Shift 3): 3:00pm-7:00pm. A variety of roles to help the running of the golf tournament including witnessing hole in one winners, registration, refreshment stations and helping with the putting contest (~8 volunteers needed) - Dinner (Shift 4): 4:00pm-10:00pm. S.U.C.C.E.S.S. was founded in 1973 and incorporated in 1974 as a non-partisan and non-profit charitable organization. Initially founded to assist new Canadians of Chinese descent to overcome language and cultural barriers, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. has evolved into a multicultural, multi-service agency assisting people at all stages of their Canadian experience.

Today, the organization is recognized as one of British Columbia's largest social service providers. With over 20 locations, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. proudly services local communities in Greater Vancouver, Fort St. John and overseas in Taipei, Taiwan and Seoul, Korea. Through advocacy, S.U.C.C.E.S.S. is also recognized as a prominent voice of positive social change.

Guided by policies envisioned by a board of volunteer directors elected by the membership, over 400 professional staff and 2,000 volunteers deliver a multitude of services in the areas of settlement, employment, health and housing as well as business, auto insurance, economic, community and social development.
