The DLM / LCAC19 Health Equity Fiesta Tour

Community building | Social determinants of health | Meeting people where they are

LCAC19 and DDLM are proud to partner in the Los Angeles Día de la Mujer (DLM / Latino Coalition Against COVID-19 (LCAC19) Health Equity Fiesta on Sept 17th from 8am - 1pm.

The DLM / LCAC19 Health Equity Fiesta is a family-friendly event designed to meet people where they are with the help of trusted messengers to forge lasting partnerships to address health disparities. The event will have food, music, and entertainment, with partnering organizations staffing tables to provide information and resources to the community. That is why we have partnered with local health organizations, public health, community-based organizations, health care clinics, and community members to help to bridge these care gaps.

The event is designed to meet people where they are with the help of trusted messengers to forge lasting partnerships to address health disparities. Community members will not just be screened for high blood pressure and diabetes but will also be screened for social determinants of health, followed by digital referrals to community-based organizations to help address the care gaps identified.
