More about the Hollywood and Vine event: www.muse-ique.com
Long before the movies had the technology to transport audiences to new worlds and dazzle them with special effects, music brought our imaginations to life. In the time that Hollywood and Vine transformed from citrus groves to a global musical capital, thousands of musicians made their mark on Los Angeles in sound stages and recording studios and everywhere in between. We're honored to welcome back the fabulous Herman Cornejo, Principal Dancer with the prestigious American Ballet Theatre, debuting original choreography to Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue". Making their debut on the MUSE/IQUE stage are the wonderful vocalist Rogelio Douglas Jr. and sought-after concert pianist, Jason Stoll. Plus, composer Peter Golub wows us with a brand new composition, entitled "On Sunset". Join Artistic Director Rachael Worby and the MUSE/IQUE orchestra as we celebrate legendary composer John Williams at 90, with soaring music from E.T. and more music behind the films of The Man Who Knew Too Much, The Graduate, and Sunset Boulevard.

Thank you for your consideration.

Mission Statement

All human beings deserve the opportunity to have their imaginations and understanding expanded through active engagement with inspired live music. MUSE/IQUE pioneers new musical experiences for people by creating curated live music events and outreach programs, all aimed at inspiring the creative spirit, engaging the community imagination, and fostering new generations of music lovers.

Description

MUSE/IQUE is a member-supported, nonprofit performing arts organization making radically engaging live music experiences accessible for all. Built on a tradition of community and collaboration, we create events that feature an eclectic mix of artists and artistic disciplines in unconventional locations-spaces where art typically does not happen. MUSE/IQUE creates transformative musical adventures and illuminates the music that shapes our lives. By reimagining the traditional format of the live classical orchestral experience, Artistic Director Rachael Worby seamlessly blends musical performances with researched curation. Our mission is to build empathy and expand imaginations through transformative live events and strong partnerships with fellow nonprofit organizations in Pasadena and the greater Los Angeles area.

We need the help of volunteers to act as way finders and front of house support, engaging with guests to elevate their experience.
