Brenton Hospice is looking for volunteers to help in our office. Volunteers are welcome to create their own schedule Mondays to Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm.
Administrative volunteers are highly valued members of the hospice team. These volunteers will provide assistance in our office doing tasks such as answering phones, assisting with mailings, filing/uploading/faxing important documents, putting together patient packets, data entry and other special projects tasks.
This work is critical in order to support our office staff, field staff, and most importantly our patients.
No special skills are required.

Description
Hospice care is an approach that promotes comfort (i.e. relief of pain and uncomfortable symptoms) instead of curative care. The emphasis of the hospice program is on keeping the patient at home with family and friends with the best quality of life possible. The patient, family, and caregivers are treated as one unit of care.
The Hospice team works closely with the patient, family, and caregivers to ensure comfort measures for pain / symptom control, emotional, and spiritual support.
