ORGANIZATION: ProMedica Hospice

  • 7 people are interested

We depend on our Hospice volunteers to help provide the love, respect and care our patients and families need. Some volunteers interact directly with patient and families ,while others prefer to work behind the scenes in the office setting. Our volunteers help enrich the lives of our patients by supporting patient interests like reading, singing, playing cards, listening to music, friendly visit to lift spirits, running an errand, if necessary.

Mission Statement

We believe that our mission is to enrich lives. That begins with every life we encounter : our employees, our patients and those who love and care for them, the communities in which we operate, our stake holders and those who are yet to become our customers.

Description

Hospice is a special kind of care designed to provide comfort care as well as spiritual and emotional support for terminally ill patients and their families. Hospice focuses on enhancing quality of life, rather than length of life. We support our patients and their families wherever they are in their journey and respect their goals and values.
