ORGANIZATION: NW WORKS INC

NW Works is a 501(c)(3) non-profit striving to bridge the employment gap for people with disabilities and others facing barriers to meaningful employment. We're looking to refresh the outside of NW Works by cleaning up our pavilion area for our program recipients to use while gardening and participating in outdoor activities. Our goal is to make the pavilion as welcoming and bright as the program recipients are every day!

This project would include the following:

  • Clear pavilion area of hazards like branches, trash and dirt piles
  • Power wash tables and concrete pad and pavilion
  • Power wash ceiling and outside of pavilion
  • Trim trees and bushes away from pavilion
  • Remove weeds from rock beds
  • Clean and sanitize picnic tables

Our pavilion area is small, fitting approximately 10 picnic tables. This project can be completed with 1-3 volunteers in a few hours. The area is shaded and covered from the elements. All supplies, refreshments and goodie bags will be provided!

We are looking to have this project completed by August 15 th. We are open Monday-Friday and accept volunteers for this project between the hours of 8:30am-4pm. I'll work with your availability!

The volunteer application form can be filled out directly online: https://forms.monday.com/forms/bc72a7d61c54b198a278bf601c18df7f?r=use1

Please contact Crystal LeMieux at clemieux@nwworks.com or 540-313-9412 if you have any questions.
