ORGANIZATION: Idealist.org

Recruiting Organization: CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA

The purpose of this even is to rehabilitate broken desks in rural areas of Zambia. Through community mobilization and working with schools, the project will identify broken desks that will be rehabilitated by community members. The members will be trained on how to rehabilitate the desks for sustainability purposes. The project will be required to organize screws, nuts ,wooden planks, vanish etc. .for the rehabilitation. CHILDHOPE-ZAMBIA realized that in most of the government schools it has gone to, there are desk frames which are just kept which can be used to rehabilitate the broken. The project would like to work with anyone who has the passion for this work. In some schools pupils sit on the floor or logs and during the rain cold and rain seasons this situation affects the pupils more. Can you imagine a pupil who sits on the floor and log the whole period of their learning. This means such a pupil can not learn and concentrate. Any help that can be rendered to such children would be greatly appreciated.
