Hospice volunteers offer patient care (i.e. mowing a patient's lawn, walking a dog) or help the patient with household chores (like fixing or cleaning up after a meal), companionship, prayer, massage therapy, giving a hair cut, among other services. Do you have good listening skills? Can you draw out a person to discuss past years or life experiences? Are you compassionate toward those experiencing grief or loss? We would love to talk to you about being a hospice volunteer.
