ORGANIZATION: Ignited Minds

Image_202102190917

We are the Ignited Minds, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that seeks to increase the NM High School Graduation rate through free, individualized tutoring support to any student in need.

We are ramping up for the upcoming school year and seeking any body that would like to volunteer with us. Here are the two roles in which you could support our organization:

1) Volunteer Tutor: you will be paired with one student to assist them weekly with a subject that they are seeking tutoring with. This will be conducted virtually via Zoom or Google Meets. We will pair you according to which subject you feel most comfortable tutoring. This is a one hour commitment, weekly during the semester.

2) Volunteer Session Monitor: All of our tutoring sessions are monitored in a 3 point system, in which we have the student being tutored, the tutor, and a Session Monitor. As a session monitor, you will log into the Zoom or Google Meets appointment and passively monitor the session. This is a one hour commitment, weekly during the semester.

Description

Thank you for your interest in tutoring middle and high school age students, grades 6-12. Volunteers are stakeholders and decision makers in our community. We need your life and work experience, creativity, education, talent, inspiration, and time. Our volunteers tutor from the comfort of your home or camper (if you are retired) computer.
