About The Role
- This is a Corporate Officer role within our organization. As such it carries fiduciary responsibilities. The ideal candidate will commit to a Term of Service (between 2-3 years) and make a small recurring monthly contribution to our Foundation.
Currently, it is a non-compensated volunteer position.
The Corporate Treasurer is the financial manager of our Foundation, who is responsible for financial management such as arranging finance, investing finance, and risk management related to financial activities along with forecasting Cashflow for the Foundation. The Treasurer is responsible for making necessary and sufficient arrangements to prevent any financial crisis and to ensure that the Foundation runs smoothly.
The Corporate Treasurer is responsible for reviewing our Profit and Loss and Cashflow Statements with our CFO prior to each Board Meeting. Then with our Directors during our Monthly Board of Directors Meeting.
Based on work performed during the past seven (7) years, we estimate the time required to perform all Corporate Treasurer duties is between 5 to 7 hours monthly. As a general rule, you should be able to perform all responsibilities in ninety (90) minutes per week.
Qualifications
A candidate for Corporate Treasurer at entry level should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related business field.
- Experience in a business-related role.
- Experience with a financial record-keeping system (i.e. Quickbooks)
- Experience with MS Office programs such as Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Teams.
- Great communication skills with teammates as well as third parties.
- Bonus: Professional certifications such as CPA or Quickbooks
We are One Bread Foundation, Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) faith-based nonprofit organization focused on human trafficking issues. Specifically, we raise funds for the rehabilitation of children rescued from sex trafficking.

Business Skills
The Corporate Treasurer of the Foundation should possess necessary business skills so that its treasury knowledge, as well as experience, can be used effectively and ensure that there is proper communication with the Foundation’s stakeholders so that the treasury objectives of the business can be achieved properly. This is important because the Corporate Treasurer of the Foundation is generally the main point of contact in the company for banks, consultants, credit agencies, regulators, etc.
Behavioral Skills
The Corporate Treasurer of the Foundation should possess necessary persuasive influencing skills so that he/she can be a good team leader as well as a good team player to achieve business objectives. The Corporate Treasurer must be able to persuade other Team Members working sessions and through written communications to support any plan or idea. This Corporate Officer must work well with cross-functional Teams to ensure the proper funding of approved payroll and budgeted projects.
TERM OF OFFICE:
The ideal candidate will serve a term of two (2) or; three (3) years.
HIGH-LEVEL COMMITMENT SUMMARY
Attendance at monthly board meetings is required. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM. As of March 2020, we have been meeting via Zoom.
