DOWT

As our biggest fundraising event of the year, Day Out With Thomas helps the Museum achieve qualifying attendance and revenue benchmarks to be eligible for state funding. We sincerely appreciate all of the help we receive from our volunteers and hope the experience is fulfilling for both parties.

Volunteers help to station our Will Call & Entrance, Operations & Boarding, Activities & Entertainment as well as our Merchandise Tent & Exit.

Shifts are approximately 4-5 hours long and volunteers are able to sign up individually or as a group. (Group size is limited to 5 people per day/per shift.)

Each volunteer will receive lunch at one of the food vendors on site, a lanyard, and t-shirt to wear the day of the event. Volunteers are also able to request FREE DOWT Tickets to use or share with friends and Family. (Each shift can earn up to 4 Tickets for our promo train on Saturdays at 4:45 p.m. throughout the event.)

We ask that volunteers wear close-toed shoes, an undershirt and sunscreen (hat’s encouraged), and bring a waterbottle.
