Uplift neighbors from around Fort Worth as a Volunteer Driver with Families to Freedom! Be someone's hero by driving them to safety after abuse.

We get calls for service everyday from survivors trying to restart life after violence, but we need more volunteer drivers to keep up with the demand. We need a dedicated person like you!

Assist victims making their break from abuser by driving them to safety! You choose the distance you're willing to travel - whether across the metroplex or across North Texas - and Families to Freedom handles the rest. You just need to be 21+, have a good driving record, pass a background check, and a heart to help.

We ONLY allow our volunteers to pick-up survivors in a safe public place such as a retail store, shelter, hospital, hotel lobby or police station. Volunteer safety is our #1 priority. There is no contact with an abuser.

Transporting a survivor traveling with children? We provide and train for easy car seat installation. Worried about the cost of gas & tolls? We reimburse for that. Don't want to use your personal car? Use one of ours. Not available every day? No worries, decline any drive with hard feelings from us. Weekday daytime availability is most needed!

An hour-long orientation can be conducted remotely over video, but training is 3 hours conducted in-person in our Dallas office or at One Safe Place in Fort Worth.
