Compassion Animal Project is looking for strong storytellers with a love for animals to help us share important our success stories! Our organization provides monetary grants to loving pet owners whose pet requires emergency, critical, and/or specialized veterinary care they cannot afford and would otherwise have to elect euthanasia. After we fund a case, and the loved pet goes home with their family with time to recover, we capture their story for our website and social media.
Volunteer storycatchers will work closely with the organization's Director of Communications to connect with pet parents and craft stories. We encourage creativity, idea sharing, and community collaboration as a part of this work! Volunteer blog writers should be willing to commit to writing 2-4 stories each month. Writers should be comfortable conducting phone and/or zoom conversations with pet parents.

Through donations from compassionate individuals and organizations, we keep families together longer. We facilitate grants to loving pet owners who require financial assistance to avoid economic euthanasia for their pets in their time of need when faced with needing emergency/critical care and/or specialized medical care.

Founded in 2021 by Dr. Rand Wachsstock, DVM, Compassion Animal Project's mission is to keep families together. We provide financial assistance for life-saving veterinary treatments and cultivate a supportive and educational community for pet owners. We harness the power of compassion to help create a world where no pet owner ever lets finances be a determining factor in the health or wellbeing of their pets.
