Join Transition House families for Dinner! We are in need of new food service groups to purchase, cook, and serve dinner at our emergency shelter for families experiencing homelessness.

What does a Transition House Provider Group look like?

  • Anyone who loves sharing food and serving their community!
  • Groups of 3 to 8 volunteers per service night
  • Purchase groceries, cook nutricious meal, and plate and serve dinner for up to 70 adults, teens, and children
  • Volunteer evenings from about 4-7 p.m.
  • Purchase groceries and assemble sack lunches for the following day
  • On-site volunteers must be over 18

REQUIREMENTS

  • This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
  • Must be at least 18
  • 4 p.m.- 7 p.m. plus time spent shopping for groceries
  • If you are interested in becoming a regular Meal Provider, we need new groups to provide and serve once per month or every other month.
