Aviary Volunteer
The aviary is the habitat of the red tailed hawk, turkey vulture, barn owls and great horned owl. If you love birds, consider volunteering at the Aviary! For this position you will be in the habitat with the birds. We are currently looking for a volunteer on Wednesdays and Fridays. There is flexibility on start time - shift is 45 minutes to one hour and must be completed by 2:00.

Tasks Include:
- Picking up remains of previous meals and excess droppings
- Cleaning the water features and disinfecting the equipment
- Checking doors for security

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 10 lbs.
- Ability to balance and climb on a sloped hill
- Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas using the spoken word
- Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels
- Visual acuity is required for determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities.
- Volunteers are subject to adverse environmental conditions
