The Center for Evidence-Based Management (CEBMa) is an independent, non-profit organization founded by an international group of management scholars and practitioners with the mission of helping people in organizations make better decisions with the use of evidence-based practice & management. Our vision is of a society where evidence-based practice is a defining feature of what it means to be a professional in business and non-profit organizations. We know that better decisions don't only make businesses more profitable, but they also enhance the work and lives of everyone impacted by them. We are looking for volunteer Multimedia Specialists to join our media team! This program aims to educate others and inspire them to use this information in their work and lives.


Position Summary

CEBMa is a registered not-for-profit. We are looking for volunteer Multimedia Specialists to join our media team!


Your responsibilities as a Multimedia Specialist:

• Assists in the production of multimedia content needed to support ongoing projects and education initiatives.

• Collaborates with Senior Multimedia Specialist in developing customized multimedia materials to support joint digital fundraising and public awareness campaigns.

• Communicate and collaborate with the Senior Multimedia Specialist to produce audio-visually stimulating media in the form of images or videos or audio content.

• Ensure compliance with: copyright and intellectual property laws & regulations in the development of media materials.

• Communicate with Senior Multimedia Specialist and team members to ensure timely completion and delivery of digital media content development projects.

• Be willing to attend virtual meetings in EST timezone (GMT -4:00) and respond to emails within 36 hours.

• Audio-video content creation

• Audio-video editing

• Graphic design


Education

• A strong understanding of copyright laws, copy-writing, the APA style, and science or other related fields is an asset.


It would be nice if you had:

• Ability to generate engaging visual-audio-video content

• Ability to think creatively and be flexible

• Excellent communication skills

• Reliability in meeting deadlines

• Hands-on experience with audio/video software


Brief Summary

• Unpaid

• Work from home (or wherever you choose)

• We would ideally like a minimum of a 3-month commitment

• Letter of recommendation after three months of suitable work

• Happy to discuss other similar offerings that you may be interested in, other than a letter of recommendation
