Celebrate National Public Lands Day by assisting the Longfellow House - Washington’s Headquarters National Historic Site with a day of family-friendly volunteer garden work, to help maintain our almost 200 year-old garden! Join us and receive a fee-free park pass for your contribution! (There’s a limited supply so it will be first-come, first-serve).


This event is in-person, and scheduled for September 24, 2022, starting at 10:00 am, and going until 2:00pm, with a break for lunch and lawn games!


Meet us on the East Lawn to sign in and pick up garden supplies. Once you’re done for the day, go back to the sign-in spot to receive your NPLS free entrance voucher!

We will provide water, sunscreen, and bug-spray. The event will follow all current CDC and NPS COVID-19 safety guidelines.
