We distribute fresh wholesome grocery bags to 700 families each week. Help sort and package vegetables, bread, fruit, eggs, meat, etc. so that we can offer only the best to recipient families. Involves some counting and weighing, sorting and choosing. In an atmosphere of friendly, hard-working volunteers. Help prevent hunger. Mostly standing. Started when people were out of work from CoVID, but the need continues.

Mission Statement

Francis on the Hill provides free groceries, diapers, clothing and other gifts to DC families through shared abundance, taking care of each other as one human family.

Description

We are an all volunteer organization that currently gives out about 500 bags of donated wholesome groceries weekly to recipients in need of food in Meridian Hill Park and nearby.
