Here at A New Leaf, we offer cutting-edge nonprofit industry internships that allow potential interns like you to gain hands on experience at one the Valley's largest nonprofits. The work you will do will contribute to our mission of "Helping Families, Changing Lives." By lending your skills and talents you will be helping our 30+ service programs, ranging from helping domestic violence survivors, the homeless population, the education sector, and many more! Your work with us will be meaningful and will impact the lives of the Valley's residents.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

- Total of 60 hours of work over several weeks
- 2-3 Hours of training required on first day
- AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card required along with background check and brief orientation (once you are in our system you can sign up for more projects or ongoing volunteer roles)
- Always maintain standards of confidentiality and professionalism
- Work cooperatively and respectfully with shelter staff, leadership, and clients
- Adhere to codes of conduct and standards as specified in the Volunteer Handbook
- Committed to fostering safe spaces for all, with the ability to respect and accommodate diverse stakeholders

A New Leaf is a 501(c)3 non-profit human service agency that has been bringing hope and new beginnings to individuals and families in the Valley of the Sun for 50 years. By working with people to overcome and resolve the obstacles that lead to their homelessness, domestic violence or behavioral health obstacles, our agency gives them the opportunity to Turn Over a New Leaf.
