Highland Lakes Camp is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to be a part of facilitating our Outdoor Education program this fall. We host field trips for 5th graders and up where they experience learning team building and academic skills at our beautiful camp on Lake Travis.

As a volunteer you would help facilitate team building activities in our low challenge course or teach an academic class like fishing, archery, nature hike, orienteering, physics, pioneer living, etc. Experience in any of these areas is not required. We will train you. You just need to be willing to learn and love working with kids!

Currently we have schools coming on the following dates:

  • October 3-4, 11-13, 19-20, 26-27
  • November 2-3, 8-9, 10-11, 14-15, 16-18, 30
  • December 1-2
Hours are typically around 8 hours per day and times vary depending on the school. Outdoor areas where you will be working are shaded. We will provide meals, money to pay for gas, and hotel rooms on site if the volunteer chooses to stay overnight when working multiple days in a row. We also have RV sites available.

If interested, please contact Bethany at bethany@highlandlakescamp.org for more information
