McLaren Hospice is seeking dedicated veterans who would like to make a difference in the lives of our U. S. Military veteran hospice patients that is being faced with advanced illnesses. Training is provided and medical experience is not necessary.
Services may include:
- Friendly visits with our hospice patients and their family
- Listening to a patient reminisce
- Reading to patient
- Respite support for caregiver by sitting with patient as family takes a break
- Assisting with pinning ceremonies for our veterans
Patients are located in Sterling Heights and the greater Macomb area including St Clair Shores, Chesterfield, Warren and Shelby Township.

Volunteers are the heart of hospice: They provide respite, companionship and support to terminally ill patients and their families. These small token of support are needed and greatly appreciated by patients and their families.
