McLaren Hospice is looking for dedicated veterans who would like to make a difference in the lives of veteran patients that are being faced with advanced illness. Training is provided and medical experience is not necessary.
Services may include:
- Friendly visits with patient and family
- Listening to patient reminisce
- Reading to patient
- Respite support for caregiver by sitting with patient as family takes a break
- Assisting with pinning ceremonies for our veterans
Patients are located in Sterling Heights and the greater Macomb area including St Clair Shores, Chesterfield, Harrison Township, Warren and Shelby Township.
