ORGANIZATION: Al Amanecer Boxing Club
Al Amanecer is seeking adult volunteers to tutor our youth members in their schoolwork, one afternoon each week in our gym. This project is slated to begin in the fall 2022.
Elementary School students: Wednesdays, 1:30-2:30 pm
MIddle/High School students: Fridays, 5:15-6:15 pm
No additional volunteer opportunities at this time.

The mission of Al Amanecer Boxing Club is to provide young people with a supportive instructional environment where they can learn not only boxing technique, strategy, and physical conditioning, but also discipline, respect, commitment, effort, and responsibility. We aim to provide affordable boxing and conditioning classes for youth and adults in the North Bay area. Al Amanecer Boxing Club opened its doors for a second time on October 4, 2021. The original club was founded by Coach Jess Sols in 1992 and provided boxing instruction to Napa youth for 10 years, serving hundreds of children. With the support of generous community donors and our volunteer coaches, we have created a beautiful 3,000 sf gym with top quality conditioning and boxing equipment. We currently serve more than 60 local youth, and have a young competitive team making their amateur boxing debuts.
