ORGANIZATION: Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy

Celebrate our public lands by helping to care for the White Point Nature Preserve Native Plant Demonstration Garden!

MISSION

The mission of the Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy is to "preserve land and restore habitat for the education and enjoyment of all."

IMPACT

Your efforts will help restore this habitat for wildlife as well as create a beautiful place for the community to enjoy!

VOLUNTEER ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Weeding, watering, mulching activities and more will be available.

REQUIREMENTS

Rated: Easy to Moderate. Please wear a mask closed-toed shoes, and sun protection, and be sure to bring drinking water and a snack.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

White Point is located at 1600 W. Paseo del Mar in San Pedro. Enter the free parking lot from Western Blvd as it turns into Paseo del Mar. We are located at the end of the road on the left-hand side.

Description

The Palos Verdes Peninsula Land Conservancy (PVPLC) manages over 1600 acres of open space on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, and two nature centers with native plant demonstration gardens. The PVPLC engages volunteers in the development and maintenance of native plant gardens in order to demonstrate how gardening with native plants is beneficial for the environment.
