A great opportunity for College students (Especially medical studies!), Retiree's and anyone with time to give! There are many locations to serve because we have patients in Temecula, Moreno Valley and Rancho Mirage and everywhere in between!
YOU can make a difference. Hospice patients need Volunteers to be there when others can't. Though Volunteers provide NO 'hands on' care, their caring hearts are just as important to patients and caregivers.
Volunteers come from all walks of life, with differing ages, training and experiences. They provide compassion and emotional support during the "final journey" of our patient's life.
Volunteers visit patient's in their own homes to encourage and support them and their caregivers just by being a presence in their life's. Volunteers also can choose to work in the office to provide patient support with record keeping that is essential to good patient care.
A Volunteer must be 18 yrs. old.
We do a full criminal background check as well as drug screening and we give you a T.B. test, all at our cost. We also provide you with 20 hours of volunteer training and orientation.
Make a difference in someone's life today!

Description
Hospice is a type of end of life care that gives 'palliative' care to patients which brings comfort and hope to the patient and their family. By easing or entirely removing physical, mental and spiritual anguish, patient's are able to focus on living and enjoying their loved ones in their final days. Hospice care is given in a patient's own home be it a private home or any type of live-in facility.
Volunteers are a part of that by being a helpful presence to the patient and their caregivers. Volunteers give NO physical hands-on care but they can help in a multiple of other ways.
Though office hours are from 8:30 to 5:30 pm. Monday through Friday, a skilled nurse answers every after hours call and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week for patient visits as needed.
