Bring a smile to our hospice patients with your Certified Pet Therapy Dog! Several studies have shown the health benefits of pets simply cuddling or petting an animal can reduce anxiety, lower blood pressure and heart rate, and ease depression. We provide volunteer orientation for you and hope you will consider this rewarding opportunity. Certification as a pet therapy dog must be completed prior to volunteering. You must complete an application, background check, and fingerprint screening also TB test will be required before we can set up visits. All pets must be up to date on their vaccinations.

Volunteer orientation is fast-approaching, contact Sarah Tackebury, Volunteer coordinator with any questions or for a brief interview.
