Are you skilled in designing brochures or newsletters? Do you have experience in graphic design or marketing? We are seeking someone to help create and redesign printed and online materials regarding volunteering and donating.

The Center for Development & Civic Engagement (CDCE), formerly Voluntary Service, communicates with a diverse group of stakeholders including veterans service organizations, community service organizations, businesses, and individuals. The promotional materials we use could be more eye-catching, easy-to-read, and accessible online (508 Compliant). Effective communication materials can improve donations and volunteering, ultimately enhancing the quality of care and service to our Veterans.

Prospective Volunteers should have good communication and customer service skills, ability to focus in a busy office environment, and a willingness to work with people from diverse backgrounds. A federal background check is necessary for computer access for this position.

We have shifts available on weekdays, daytime, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. This Volunteer assignment may allow some remote work for highly qualified candidates, after initial projects are completed.

With current OSHA and VA safety policies and procedures, all Volunteers are required to wear a medical face mask. VHA Directive 1193 and VA Handbook 5019 requires that Volunteers in this role have a documented COVID-19 vaccine, and influenza vaccine (during flu season).
