RLC Massachusetts - Videographer Internship

ABOUT RLC:
Rescuing Leftover Cuisine is a 501(c)3 nonprofit food rescue organization that redistributes surplus food to feed people, not landfills. We match available food from businesses to the food needs of nearby organizations that provide necessary food assistance for people with zero or low income of all ages, races, cultures and religions. Our volunteer "Rescuers" use our food rescue technology to transport the food, at no cost to the recipient organization.

ABOUT THIS INTERNSHIP:
RLC is seeking a passionate Videographer Intern with a documentary style and unobtrusive approach, who is committed to social, environmental and local action. This is an opportunity to develop and strengthen valuable creative and professional skills while helping RLC to enhance our presence to increase our impact in Massachusetts.

ABOUT YOU:
RLC is seeking an ambitious and creative Videographer Intern who is committed to social, environmental and local action. This is a great opportunity for those seeking experience for a career in film and journalism.

DETAILS:

• This is a part-time, unpaid internship. We welcome the opportunity to work with your school or school’s foundation to provide school credit or a stipend.
• Start Date in September 2022 with an end date in December 2022
• Flexible hours (10-20 hours weekly) with minimum 12 week OR 120 hour commitment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create, film and edit new Training, Spotlight & Promo videos of RLC volunteer Rescuers, Donors and Nonprofit food recipient Partners. Videos are a combination of documentary style and interviewing the subjects.
• Edit from existing video footage to create new content/montages of still & moving imagery for different projects.
• Create videos for different platforms. One video project may be presented in various formats. For example: YouTube: 16:9, 4 min + Facebook and LinkedIn: 16:9, 2 min + Instagram: 9:16, 15 sec + TikTok: 9:16, 15-20 sec
• Propose new video content, ideas, etc.
• Provide release forms for all participants.
• Collaborate with Marketing Director (Andrew), Operations Manager (Claire) and Social Media intern.
  

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Has access to transportation, and sufficient quality video, sound and editing equipment
• Strong sense of composition, creativity and craftsmanship; and video-editing skills
• Creative, sensitive and unobtrusive approach
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize, and work independently without supervision
• Strong organizational, scheduling, oral and written communication skills

• Must reside in or have transportation to the Greater Boston Area during the internship.

• Bonus qualifications: Still Photography; ability to travel to MetroWest/SouthCoast areas of MA
