Your support in this role will help Learning Ally foster a welcoming, engaged, and empowered community of educators working together to smash the literacy gap. We need your help in researching awards, recognition, and grant opportunities for our community of over 4,000 educators.
At Learning Ally, our goal is to make sure educators are empowered to be leaders in their classrooms, schools, districts, and communities in order to ensure every student can become an independent reader. The Learning Ally Educator Community is a place where committed educators from all walks and stages of life come together in support of that goal.
What you’ll do
Research award, recognition, and grant opportunities which Learning Ally's Educator Community can apply.
Create a list of award, recognition, and grant opportunities in Google Sheets
Skills and Qualifications
Skilled in research, especially pertaining to grants and award opportunities
Ability to use Google Sheets, or Excel with minimal guidance, this includes copying and pasting text and inserting links in a spreadsheet.
Interest in research of grants, awards, and recognition, particularly education or community engagement related
Desire and ability to work independently, with some team collaboration when necessary
Time commitment
This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity, with a minimum requested commitment time of 2 months. We welcome you to volunteer at any time of the day, any day of the week in coordination with our Community Manager, Elizabeth Zwerg.
Approximately 1-3 hours per week would be ideal
Collaborative meeting twice monthly with Community Manager to go over prospects and build an ongoing relationship.

Learning Ally is a leading nonprofit education solutions organization that transforms the lives of early and struggling learners through proven solutions from Pre-K through high school, to help students reach their potential.
