Provide food for those in need and reduce food waste from local businesses by volunteering at PATH Valley Vista's food distribution. PATH Valley Vista is one of PATH's supportive housing sites.

Volunteers will bring out food donations, sorting them by category and disposing of any low quality/expired items. Volunteers will then monitor/support clients as they pick up their items. This can vary from helping a physically disabled individual carry their groceries to identifying what items are available. After the distribution, volunteers will help break down by cleaning the food distribution space (i.e. Wiping down used surfaces, throwing out trash, sweep, etc).

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Time Commitment: One 3-hour shift per week for at least one month.

Onboarding Process: Complete a site tour and processing packet. This process takes about 45 minutes total.

Attire: Closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get dirty. This event takes place indoors.

Bring: Water bottle and snack

Physical Requirements: Able to lift up to 40 lbs, standing for the entire duration, and bending. Unfortunately this opportunity is not able to make accommodations for individuals with physical limitations and the space is not wheelchair accessible.
