Join us to answer the call when disaster strikes.

Your local American Red Cross office is looking for volunteers in your area to provide 24-hour emergency response to local disasters, particularly home fires, providing basic necessities such as food and shelter.

Provide emergency assistance to people affected by a disaster.

This is great way to give back in your community!

From offering a shoulder to cry on, to meeting immediate needs for sheltering and supplies, to connecting people with long term recovery services, our volunteers ensure that families don't have to face tough times alone.

There are several key roles within the disaster services teams.

Urgent Needs:

POSITION: Disaster Action Team Member

Provides response to local disasters, particularly house fires, ensuring those affected have access to food, shelter, and clothing.

Sign up for on-call shifts, standing by to respond to local emergencies.

Must be 18 and have a valid driver's license.

Complete and stay up to date with trainings provided by Red Cross.

POSITION: Disaster Caseworker

Disaster caseworkers follow up to assess ongoing needs and refer clients to resources that can help them continue to recover.

Follow up within 72 hours after a disaster to create a recovery plan with the client.

We will work with your schedule on time commitments.

Must be 18+
