The E.H.R. Programs & Volunteer Coordinator VISTA will improve and expand several programs to positively impact a food-impoverished community. The project will improve food security for the greater Sierra Vista area by leveraging volunteers, building community awareness, and sustaining school contacts. During the year of service, the VISTA will work with E.H.R. staff, education partners, and community members to achieve the objectives and activities outlined below. The Alliance VISTA team offers monthly professional development, a state-wide network of support, and beauty that can only be found in rural Arizona. Relocation to the area is required, with relocation assistance and a hybrid work schedule available.
This is an AmeriCorps National Service position. This service opportunity is one year, full-time, and offers a stipend. The service opportunity includes: Living Allowance, Relocation Allowance, End of Service Award, Healthcare Benefit, Non-Competitive Eligibility, and Professional Development training. The position is located with Echoing Hope Ranch with a hybrid work schedule available. Relocation to southern Arizona is required.
Tasks include: 1)Expand the Field Trip Program. 2)Expand the Farm-to-School program. 3 )Develop and implement the volunteer program while facilitating and monitoring the volunteer experience. 4)Promote Echoing Hope Ranch throughout the community. 5 ) Ensure there is a sustainable transfer of knowledge, products, and relationships to the appropriate member/volunteer/staff who will be picking up elements of your project after your service year.

The Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits was founded in 2004 and is a trusted resource and advocate for Arizona’s nonprofit sector. Comprised of more than 1,000 members across the state, both nonprofits and those in the community who support them, the Alliance is dedicated to furthering the common interests of Arizona’s nonprofit community.
Merged in August 2022, the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits + Arizona Grantmakers Forum will enable more impactful collaborations among philanthropic and nonprofit leaders. Arizona Grantmakers Forum members are part of a network of more than 400 philanthropy professionals from more than 80 member organizations across the state. This merger positions the nonprofit sector as a key partner with the government and business community to drive economic growth and build an equitable Arizona where all people thrive.
