Friendly Driver, Meals on Wheels
ORGANIZATION: Meals on Wheels
Please visit the new page to apply.
Volunteer drivers are a lifeline for the seniors on their route. Drivers check-in with seniors, deliver meals, help to reduce isolation, and create community. A few moments of your day can be a critical connection for socially isolated seniors or those in need of a little more support.
The most significant volunteer need is to deliver in Watsonville or the San Lorenzo Valley areas.

Mission Statement
The mission of Meals on Wheels California is to create a unified voice for nutrition providers and broaden the impact of our programs across the state to improve the lives of seniors, adults with disabilities and their families.
Description
More than a meal, Meals on Wheels provides a community. Our senior dining sites located offer daily hot meals to adults ages 60 and up. Volunteer drivers provide a friendly visit and a nutritious meal that helps support independence for vulnerable elders and disabled residents. Our drivers check in on the wellbeing of isolated elders, ensuring they receive referrals to other needed services.
