Friends of Marston Canyon
Marston Canyon Work Day
Saturday - August 20, 2022
9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon
The Friends of Marston Canyon will be working to remove nonnative invasive plants to restore the native habitat.
We encourage everyone who attends to bring their own gloves, water and face masks.
Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer will be available.
If anyone feels the least bit uncomfortable about attending, then you should follow your own best judgement.
Please let us know if you have any questions.
Meet at the Vermont St. Trailhead. (Vermont Street and Cypress Avenue)
Walk down the Vermont St. trailhead on the north side of Marston Canyon.
At the bottom, turn left/east. We will be gathering near the kiosk.
Bring work gloves and water. Wear long sleeved shirts, long pants, sturdy shoes and sun protection.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

San Diego Canyonlands' mission is to promote, protect and restore the natural habitats in San Diego County's canyons and creeks. We do this by fostering education and ongoing community involvement in stewardship and advocacy, and by collaborating with other organizations.
Description
During the monthly events, we would like volunteers to help us remove trash, invasive non-native plants, plant native plants in restoration sites, maintain trails, and do other exciting work to enhance the canyon. Our urban canyons and creeks are critical to the health of the San Diego ecosystems.
