Frontline Housing is looking for consistent volunteers to help children with their reading literacy. We are hosting Book Buddies for children in the South Fulton Community. During each session, volunteers will be matched with a child to help with their reading ability and literacy. The volunteer will encourage the child to read out loud to them, which improves their reading literacy.

The session is hosted every Thursday from 5 pm- 7 pm.

Mission Statement

Frontline Housing's mission is to provide low barrier permanent housing options to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. Once stable, Frontline Housing aims to increase the financial literacy of individuals and families placed through the Financial Achievement Club. The goal of the Financial Achievement Club is to build savings, improve credit and increase the income of the participants. Through housing and after care, Frontline Housing aims to end the cycle of homelessness.

Description

Frontline Housing places individuals and families experiencing homelessness into permanent housing. The Motel to Home program focuses on families living in motels that may have barrier to finding permanent housing including low credit, and recent evictions. Frontline Housing works with families to identify low barrier permanent housing and assists with the first month's rent and deposit. Frontline Housing also provides permanent housing by master leasing units through apartment complexes and subleasing to families who are unable to get approved to the apartments. Once stable, Frontline Housing aims to increase the financial literacy of individuals and families placed through the Financial Achievement Club. The goal of the Financial Achievement Club is to build savings, improve credit and increase the income of the participants. Through housing and after care, Frontline Housing aims to end the cycle of homelessness.
